J Curve LLC
“What the heck are you thinking?” Amy Dresser heard that a lot after leaving a five-year career with KPMG in their Assurance Practice. Amy was driven to follow her passion for building professional relationships and connecting people. Judging by her quick rise to Vice President at a national recruiting firm, her colleagues now agree she made the right choice.
In 2004, Amy and her business partners leveraged their accounting and recruiting experience, and founded Homrich, Klein & Associates (HKA) to provide permanent placement services for accounting and finance professionals. HKA has earned a reputation for quality and integrity throughout the Atlanta accounting and finance community.
“Listening to our clients and candidates ultimately led to the creation of J Curve,” notes Amy. “We’ve seen a growing demand for high quality accounting and finance professionals for specific projects or interim assignments. The ideal fit is critical. Clients want someone who can make an immediate impact,” says Amy. “We work closely with every associate to understand their unique skills, motivations and career objectives, and match them in roles that best meet both our clients’ and associates’ needs.”
Amy is a Board member and officer of the American Association of the Finance and Accounting Recruiters, the largest and oldest affiliation of independent executive recruiting firms in the US. Locally, she is an active member of the Association for Corporate Growth, The Paideia School finance committee and Gigi’s Playhouse, a non-profit organization providing free education for Down’s syndrome children.
